Ironing Board Sam
|
Classic Blues artist Samuel Moore, known as Ironing Board Sam, has been playing professionally for more than 55 years. Ironing Board Sam was born in 1939 in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Later in life, he was dubbed Ironing Board Sam for his unique invention of the "button board," a homemade portable keyboard which he mounted to an ironing board that simulated the Hammond B3 organ sound. He has spent time playing professionally in Miami, Memphis, Nashville, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New Orleans. Blues legend Ironing Board Sam relocated to Chapel Hill, NC in 2010 following Hurricane Katrina with the help of MusicMaker.org in Hillsborough, NC, and The Crunkleton is honored to welcome such a talented and bona fide musician every Thursday from 7:30-10:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you at the shows.
